We had a crazy time with Mother Nature this past week! First we've been dealing with these forest fires, then we have an earthquake on Tuesday (the first I have ever experienced in my life!), then a hurricane on Saturday, which also brought a tornado not too far from my sisters house! As my mom said, good thing we don't have volcano's here or we'd be in real trouble!! This all also occurred during my final week of my Pediatric Nursing class, which involved a quiz on Monday, a test on Tuesday, TWO tests on Wednesday, a Final test over the entire class on Thursday, and then an additional clinical on Friday. So let me tell you, my week was stressful and I am happy it's over!
Thank God my family hasn't suffered any major damage to our homes or anything throughout this week. God is good!
During the hurricane Dave ended up being able to stay home with us. We thought he was going to be called into work on Saturday but he didn't so that was nice Haylee and I weren't alone. We had a good time together and I think Haylee really loved having us both home together with her all day long.
eating breakfast, waiting for Irene
fort time!
Haylee insisted on swimming in her pool as it filled up, she said
"I need to go swimming, I need to hurry up right now!"
wishing she was in her pool
now checking out the rain in the front
back to the fort, washing her hands
being silly
someone found a spider
outfit change and dance time!
dip...
she says "spell and apera-apra..." LOL
new random dance move
time for a movie and a snack
silly kids
This is the most damage we had at our house (Haylee's window is on the left). There were a lot of trees/branches down in our neighborhood but nothing looked too major. The good thing about owning a condo is we won't have to pay to fix it!
