Easter Eggs

I always loved dying Easter eggs when I was younger so it's something I wanted to have Haylee do also. Last year we did it with Kimberly and Kylie and she basically just threw the egg in the bowl so it didn't go so well haha. This year I found a box of dye stuff for $1 and decided to try it. She did great! She loved it and didn't break any eggs =)

Big cat box

Wednesday night we went to dinner at Plaza Azteca and asked Haylee if she wanted to go see the Easter Bunny or go to the beach after dinner. She chose the beach so we headed down to Sandbridge for a little while... hoping for a better outcome with Haylee than last year!

Just a reminder, this was Haylee last year (which happened to be April too!)...

And this was Wednesday =)

At first she HATED it and cried as she just stood there but I made her stand there and eventually she got over it. Dave stepped in the water and made her laugh so she forgot about the sand. Every now and then she'd remember what she was doing but did pretty good!

After her feet got wet she was freaking out that she had clumps of sand on her feet and kept saying she had poop on them...

H: There's poop on my feet! Get it off!!

Me: Not there's not any poop on your feet Haylee, it's just sand, I promise you!

H: No!! It's poop!!!

Me: What kind of poop??

H: Cat poop!!

Hahahaha I finally figured out why she didn't like the beach, she thought it was a huge cat box!!

Pool!

It was supposed to be in the high 70's/low 80's on Wednesday so Dave went and got Haylee a new special Princess pool. She LOVED it and wanted to go back in it the next day... too bad Thursday was only in the 60's =/ Gotta love Virginia weather!!

Me: Does Daddy buy you everything you want?

H: Yes, he buys mommy's medicine and my medicine too!

And if you don't know Haylee that's a big thing because she LOVES taking medicine... yes, I know, my child is a druggie already...

Easter!

On Monday we had really beautiful, warm weather and I was off of school so I decided to take Haylee's Easter pictures. Here are some of my favorites =)

Bubbles!

When I got home from school this afternoon Haylee decided she didn't want to take a nap so I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and take her outside for some bubble time. Daddy got her some new bubbles at the store and she was very excited to play with them!

Big girl!!

So it looks like Haylee is completely potty trained now!! I started earlier this week since she was showing signs that she was ready. It started off a little rocky. In the beginning she would only go poop on the potty with absolutely no problems and even let me know when she had to go. Peeing was a different story. No matter how many times we took her to the potty she would not go pee! We didn't understand what it was. One night she kind of peed a little on her chair so I took her to the potty and MADE her sit there until something happened, she started to cry then right away she peed! So of course I made a huge deal about it and she even went again that night all on her own. I think something just clicked and she's been doing great ever since! She had one accident on Tuesday (at Kimberly's, I blame it on wanting to play with Kylie and not stop!) and one on Wednesday but hasn't had any since. She has also gone to the bathroom in public twice so I think it's official! Once it clicked, she got it good and now we can throw out those diapers!! We are so proud of her =)

Since she's been potty trained she does NOT want to wear a diaper or pull up when she's sleeping. She will take them off and then go to sleep. She will also take them off in the morning when she wakes up. So we decided we need to make her crib into a big girl bed in case she needs to go potty in the night or early morning! I know she's going to be SO excited and love it, I'm just not ready for it!!
