36 weeks!

Wow! Who would of thought I would make it this far?? Not me! We are so blessed that we have though & have two healthy, growing baby boys!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 36 weeks

Size of babies: should be around 5.5 lbs, 20 inches long, size of a large cantaloupe
(We are no longer getting growth ultrasounds so we won't know their size until birth!)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: well I gained 39 lbs at my appointment on Monday but now I'm back down to 36 lbs...

Maternity Clothes:  everything has to be of course... & a lot of my shirts aren't fitting now ;-(

Gender: TWO BOYS!

Movement: It's been slowing down but as seen in that video I posted on Facebook they are still kicking & poking at me!

Sleep: Still awful & painful, up every hour now to readjust or pee, even with taking Tylenol PM. I'm having to sleep sitting up now too

What I miss: no contractions, being able to hold Haylee, being able to sleep... same ol' same ol'

Cravings: nothing new in particular

Symptoms: contractions, back pain, bad edema in my ankles/toes and hands/fingers, indigestion, round ligament pain, frequent urination, nausea/ vomiting

Best Moment this week: scheduling my induction date on Monday at my doctors appointment!

Fraternal twins at 36 weeks... Getting cramped!

So as I said, I no longer am having growth ultrasounds. I go to the doctor every Monday & Thursday until I have them. Monday I have a NST then see the doctor, Thursday I just have a NST then leave.

This Monday's appointment went well. The boys looked good during the NST, moving all around. Then after that I saw the Nurse Practitioner. She's great. She did a quick US to check the fluids around the babies, which was good. Noah is still head down, & Jackson is breech. Then she did my Group B test and "checked me". I am about 1cm dilated so far. She also scheduled my induction! I've been wanting to schedule this forever now, just to have a date & end in site haha. So unless they come sooner, the boys will officially be evicted on August 8, 2013 (8/8/13). I like that date :-) I will be 37 weeks, 6 days. So about 2 weeks away! And I am READY!

She's such a cutie!

and because I won't have this belly much longer...

I also finished Haylee's Big Sister bag finally. It didn't end up exactly how I pictured but I think she will love it and I cannot wait to see her open it!

This is everything that is in the bag. I got her some real newborn clothes for her doll from a consignment shop near by. I think she's going to be most excited about those (other than the gum, since I don't like her having gum I thought it would be a good way to show she's a BIG sister - it will however still be a special treat)!

35 weeks

I thought I would do a 35 week update being that we really don't know when these babies might come and I may not make it to my 36 week update. Although, I have a feeling I will make it all the way to my induction date!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 35 weeks

Size of babies: should be around 5.25 lbs, 20 inches long, size of a large cantaloupe
(at our appointment on Wednesday, Noah was 5 lb 5oz and Jackson was 4 lb 12 oz - that is a total of 10 lbs 1 oz of baby!)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: gain 36 lbs, I had lost 2 lbs at one point but gained them back after July 4th haha!

Maternity Clothes:  everything has to be of course... & a lot of my shirts aren't fitting now ;-(

Gender: TWO BOYS!

Movement: It's been slowing down. When they do move it is pretty slow movements. However, Jackson is still able to flip around! And of course Noah still gets the hiccups ALL THE TIME, at least 3 or 4 times a day and Jackson will get them maybe once a day, if that.

Sleep: Still pretty awful, I have some really bad nights that I am in pain all night and then some decent nights. I have been taking a Tylenol PM at night also to help with all that.

What I miss: no contractions, being able to hold Haylee, being able to sleep

Cravings: nothing new in particular, I have noticed I haven't been able to eat as much lately

Symptoms: contractions, edema in my ankles/toes and hands/fingers, heat flashes, indigestion, round ligament pain, frequent urination

Best Moment this week: a good doctors appointment Wednesday that my sister was finally able to make it to

As I've mentioned, I had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday. First I had an ultrasound, then an NST, then saw the doctor.

The ultrasound went well. At first the boys were sooooo sleepy. We pushed and prodded at them and they would NOT wake up for anything. I guess I can blame it on my lunch, baked potato soup in a bread bowl HAHA! Eventually they moved a little and showed us that they were practicing their breathing and the US tech was happy with that. Noah is a big boy weighing in at 5 lb. 5 oz. and Jackson (who has always been a little smaller) weighed 4 lb. 12 oz. Jackson is also a lot harder to get his measurements of, with the position he's in. Jackson also decided to flip around and was breech! I canNOT believe he still has room to flip! I'm just hoping he will flip back to make delivery easier! Our pictures of the boys have turned from cute profile pictures to pictures of the back of their head, showing they have hair! Unfortunately they were both laying face down and would not move to show us their face at all!

The NST went well also. They had me hooked up for maybe 30 minutes and the boys moved a little with small accelerations in their heart rate so they were happy with that.

Me during the NST, she had to rig it so she could hear their heart better. I can only imagine how labor will be hooked up like this...

I confirmed with the doctor again when they would be inducing me. He said 37 weeks, which is the beginning of August and about 2 1/2 weeks away. Nothing is scheduled as of now (I'm not sure they really think I will make it that far). On one hand I am very ready to be done being pregnant but on the other I am very nervous to have a newborn again, let alone TWO! I know we will make it through, and have a lot of family and friend support, but it's still a scary thought!

For those who are curious, I do plan on having a vaginal delivery. Noah has been head down for some time now so I am hoping he stays that way. For most doctors, as long as Baby A (Noah) is head down they will let me attempt a vaginal delivery. However, there are some doctors that will not if even A is vertex and B is breech and go straight to a C-section. So it all depends on who is on call the day I go into labor! Although I want a natural labor I will still have to deliver in the OR in case I have to have an emergency C-section for Baby B. I also found out the sad news that only Dave will be allowed in there due to space, so my mom and sister won't be able to witness their birth. It makes me very sad, as I am sure it makes them more sad. A twin birth is something I really wish I could let them experience =( Not to mention their support (& photo taking) is much appreciated!

I am now going to go every Monday and Thursday for an NST until they come. Mondays I will also see the doctor. We no longer will be getting ultrasounds either. We have everything done and are ready for them to come, so let the count down begin =)

Here's a recent iPhone picture of me at 34 weeks 6 days

Maternity photos!

I finally got my sister to take some maternity photos for me. I was 33 weeks pregnant and we went to Waterside in Norfolk, VA. I thought that scenery would be a good place and something different. I really like how they turned out, even though it was HOT and windy and I was sweaty haha. Luckily you can't tell in the pictures ;-)

Drum roll... picture over load!

I added these and a few extras on my Facebook page if you want to check them out there.
