Taylor Farms!

Another fall tradition we have is going to Taylor Farms with Kimberly, Jacob, Kylie & this year Brayden. We went this past Sunday and had a really great time!

The weather was beautiful and the kids were so well behaved =)

Waiting for KK, Jacob, Kylie & Brayden

HAHA

so beautiful

and SO grown up looking!

trying to blow it away LOL

Finally they got there and we got onto the hay ride!

we took a few pictures...

just a little too heavy

LOVE my family

after pictures we let the kids get into the bounce house

which they loved LOL

They played for about 30 minutes then Haylee picked out a pumpkin to take home and we got back on the hayride to go to the cars. Then we went to Moe's for lunch with everyone. After lunch we drove through a neighborhood and checked out some houses for sale then headed home for naps!

Some time this week we are going to get a big pumpkin and we are going to carve them. I haven't decided if we are going to try to carve Haylee's or just let her paint it =)

Now I lay me down to sleep...

Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
Angels watch me through the night,
and keep me in their blessed sight.
AMEN.

A prayer many of us had heard, and a prayer Dave, Haylee and I have memorized.
A prayer so simple but so important.

As Haylee and I knelt down next to her bed tonight, I listened to her say this prayer and I was thinking about how blessed I am to have her in my life. How blessed we are to have the life we have. God is amazing.

I was also thinking about how happy I am that she knows Jesus and goes to a Christian preschool. I love when she talks about God and Jesus, and it brings tears to my eyes.

So I recorded her saying her little prayer and then finishing out with a song we sing every night. She is so sweet and so cute! I love my girl, and my Jesus.

Traditions

I love traditions. I always have and I always will.

One tradition we have been doing for the past couple of years is going to the Hunt Club with Kimberly, Kylie, Brandi, Cole & Cason. Today we went and it was as fun as always! Of course the kids are getting older and not wanting to sit so patiently and take pictures anymore but they enjoyed themselves and that is all that matters!

first we started with picture taking

and pumpkin picking

October Two's News

Hello all! We got a newsletter today and calender of events for Haylee's school. October is going to be a busy month!

We can count of God... He never changes - Fall and Harvest time.
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever!"  Hebrews 18:8

In the month of October we will be talking about all things orange and the triangle in shape. The Bible story this month will be the story of Noah.

Coming up this month we have Touch Point conferences on October 5th and 6th, then on October 11th and 12th we will be having fall pictures. On October 26th and 27th we will be having our fall festival at 11:00 am. Please come and join us for fun and fellowship.

So the important dates:
October 6th - Touch Point conference
October 11th - Fall pictures
October 27th - Fall Festival

I was able to ask for the 6th off from clinical so I could go to the Touch Point conference. Dave and I will meet with her teachers & talk about how things have gone this past month & what we want for Haylee in the coming months. I was also scheduled off from clinical on the 27th, I didn't ask for it but by chance it was my one other day off! I was so excited! I was really bummed when I didn't think I'd be able to go and so when I found out I got lucky and got it off I was ecstatic! Thank you Jesus!

So that's about it for the month of October! I have a LOT of clinical and school hours this month (45 class hours & 90 clinical hours). Along with doctor's appointments and trying to do some fall/pumpkin patch type things with Haylee. So I know I am going to be VERY busy!

Other posts

I wanted to share these two posts my sister put on her blog for those of you that don't follow her blog also.

A couple days ago we took the girls to see Disney on Ice, Dare to Dream and they LOVED it! It was a really cute show and I can't wait to go to another one... or even to Disney World!

Yesterday my parents and us went to the Virginia State Fair. Another great time! And of course the kids loved everything we did, which included rides, food and animals!

Riding the Tide!

A few months ago Norfolk built a light rail called the Tide. It goes from Newtown Road to close by EVMS/CHKD/Norfolk General. Dave suggested this week that we should take it from Newtown Road down to MacArthur mall to eat lunch and spend some time together. So we went today and had a great time! It's definitely not as crazy as the DC one and it was nice to spend the afternoon with just us three.

with Daddy on our way to the mall

haha! "hey, how you doing?"
