Welcome to Moe's!

This evening Kimberly, Kylie, Haylee and I went to Moe's for dinner. Jacob was working late and Dave was not feeling good and was tired from teaching DT's all week, so it was a girls night! Kylie was feeling very photogenic so we were taking some pictures and I thought I'd share them with you.

Kylie wants to cuddle, Haylee just wants to eat LOL

Valentine's Day

We had a great Valentine's Day in the Salisbury household. It was spent the best way, with all of us there... no couples dinner and movie date alone. Haylee was with us the entire day and we wouldn't want it any other way. Sunday morning Dave had our gifts downstairs and ready for us. He got Haylee a basket full of toys that she loved "opening." After opening gifts we decided to go to lunch at California Pizza Kitchen in MacArthur Mall. It was a delicious lunch. Then we went to the kids play area to let Haylee play some. She loved it! Even though she can't walk she still held her own in there with all the crazy kids running around. Granted we were pretty much the only parents following our kid around every where haha. But I'm really happy we took her in there and let her play. She just loves other kids. Later that night our friends Kelly and Adam came over and we watched a movie, Paranormal Activity... VERY SCARY movie!! I was laying awake in bed for hours before I could fall asleep! I knew there was a reason I never wanted to watch it but Dave made us! Our Valentine's Day continued on to Monday night. We went to dinner at PF Chang's. It was a yummy dinner and a perfect way to end our weekend!

15 month well baby

Today we went to Haylee's 15 month well baby appointment. It went really well. The doctor said she's doing great and looks good.

Her stats:

29 inches - 25 percentile

20 lbs 11.5 inches - 10-25 percentile

She has slowed down a LOT since she was born. She's always been in the 75 percentile, at least if not higher, for height and weight but the doctor said that is very normal for this age and that she looks great. She wasn't concerned at all about her not walking. She said that since she does with our help or by pushing the toy that she is doing just fine and that she just doesn't have the confidence to let go yet and she will soon. I can even tell when she holds onto my fingers as she walks or stands she's barely holding on. Like I said before, she's just being a chicken =) All in due time! She was pretty impressed with how many words she says. She was also impressed with the fact that she's not on the bottle anymore (which she hasn't been for several months now) and only uses the paci when she sleeps. I told her I wasn't ready to get rid of the paci yet and she said I actually can let her keep it until she's 3! Which, I probably won't but I'm glad to know that. Haylee doesn't even want it outside of her crib. If I get her out of the crib she automatically takes it out and throws in in the crib. She definitely connects the paci to sleeping. So I'm proud of her for those things. Unfortunately, the appointment ended sadly for Haylee, she got 2 shots, one in each leg. She only cried for a second though and was fine. Which I was a little worried about since, for the first time after shots, she didn't have her paci & I thought she'd cry for a long time. She did great though and again, I was so proud of her! She amazes me so much every day!

She's been so cute lately. She laughs at almost anything. She loves Kylie and will sit in the car and just laugh at her, & who knows why. It's really cute. She loves to be involved in whatever I am doing and she's really gotten into books lately. Today she started answering me when I asked her something. After dinner it was time to put her coat on and she was fighting it so I asked her if she wanted to go outside and she said "nooooo" with the sweetest voice. She wasn't sounding bratty or anything, just honestly answering me. She's too cute. She's talking a lot more lately too. The other day I went into her room in the morning to get her and as soon as I opened her door she said "Hi" =) So sweet. Even after getting 2 shots today and running a fever she's still the sweetest little girl ever! We're so blessed!

"walking"

Haylee has all the sudden gotten the love of walking while pushing something. She's had a little push walker thing since her birthday but refused to use it. She would even whine when I tried to make her stand up behind it! Well her and I were at the Capps for Super Bowl Sunday and they have one of those walking seats that the baby sits in and can move around the house in. She decided to (all on her own) stand at the back of it and start walking around pushing it! I was so excited! (I know, not that big of a deal, but a great milestone for her) Ever since then she's also gotten a love of pushing her walker around! So she's on the road to walking all on her own I think!

All about ice hockey!

This past Saturday night Dave, Haylee and I attended two hockey games at the Norfolk Scope. We have a local professional hockey team, the Admirals that play there. The Norfolk Police and Fire Fighters set up a game to play against each other first and then after that game, with an hour break in between, the Admirals played. The first game started at 4 p.m. and since each game is about 2 hours long we didn't make it the entire night but it was a lot of fun. Haylee was very surprised at first, not knowing what was going on or why so many people were screaming (her Daddy included LOL). But she did great! She enjoyed the game and talking to all of Dave's friends who were there. One of his friends brought his 6 year old son and she was flirting with him a lot of the time! They also had the Police mascot, McGruff, and the Fire Firefighters mascot, Sparky, there. She was starring at them every time she saw them from afar but when they came close to her she screamed bloody murder! She did NOT like them at all! The Police lost to the Fire Fighters unfortunately but they played a good game! I'm not sure if the Admirals won though since we left at about 8:30 p.m. and the game wasn't over yet. All in all it was a really good night and a fun "first" for Haylee!

see I told you...

I'm going video crazy!! Here's another one!

Today I was feeding Haylee her lunch, PB&J sandwich. I cut it into small pieces and put them on her highchair tray. I had put like 2 on there then turned around and was looking at my computer. She then whined and wanted some more so I put more on there. I thought to myself that she seemed to be eating pretty fast but I didn't think too much of it. Then I turned back around and she whined again pretty soon after and they were gone again. I put 1 more on the tray and watched her. Right away she took it and dropped it right into where her bib was! She was hiding her food! I couldn't believe it, one year old and already hiding her food! HAHA. So I decided to take a video and talk to her about it, then she revealed what she did. Guess she didn't care she was caught!

Cabin Fever

So since we got a really bad snow storm (for us Easterners at least) Haylee and I have been locked up in the house for 3 days now. The roads are really bad out there and since I have a small car I'm not trying to go out and drive in it, especially with Haylee. Dave has been out a lot though, he has a big SUV so he drives fine in it. Plus, being a Police Officer he HAS to go to work. But I'm sure he's fine with that, as he doesn't want to have to stay in the house either.

Anyways, I've been going video taking crazy of Haylee. So here are 3 videos I thought were cute =) Enjoy!
