She gave us a scare!

So I'm sure I scared some you all with my FB status last night (thank you SO much for all the prayers) and I just wanted to update everyone on what had happened with Haylee.

Last night I was giving Haylee a bath and noticed a HUGE lump on her neck, underneath her right ear. So, I freaked out. I called Dave and he decided to leave work and come home and see what it was. A few days ago Haylee had said she hurt her neck and we didn't know if it was related to that, or if it was her lymph node or something worse. So we called the on call nurse at her pediatrician's office and she suggested we just waited until the next day to go into her their office. But, being paranoid & over protective as we are, we decided to just take her to the ER, better to be safe than sorry. Besides, this wasn't just a small bump, it was huge, the size of a golf ball. And pretty hard. Plus she would flinch when we pressed on it (otherwise it didn't bother her at all though - no breathing or swallowing problems).

So off to the new Princess Anne hospital we went. Haylee seemed excited HAHA, she's really not scared of the doctor's or anything and was welcoming to them checking her out. We got called back pretty quickly and seen by the doctor even quicker. The doctor poked a little at Haylee and asked her a few questions. He asked her the typical ones, age, etc. then asked her if she had a boyfriend and she said she has a cousin HAHA. Then later he asked if she had any siblings and she said she has cousins HAHA and she told him their names. She must sure love her cousins!! After checking her out he said it was a swollen lymph node. She also has a small impetigo rash behind her ear that the doctor said could of caused the inflammation (which we suspected). He did say he was a slightly concerned because the rash is VERY small to have caused such a large swollen lymph node. So we are to keep an eye on it to make sure the heavy duty antibiotics he put her on makes it go away. He mentioned it could be something worse (the "C" word) but we don't think that is the problem and are praying it goes down soon!

We waited for over an hour to get her 1st dose of the antibiotic and then the nurse gave her a popsicle for being so good. The doctor wanted us to follow up with her pediatrician today but she didn't have anything available so we have an appointment tomorrow at 11am. I'll keep everyone updated!

I took a few pictures of it to give everyone an idea... just to warn you it is pretty bad in my opinion!

Just to show you a comparison of the left side that isn't inflamed and the right side that is =/

As you can see it isn't just a little bump so please continue to pray for her!!

What a day!

So this Monday didn't turn out to be a lazy, lay around and do nothing all day kind of day that I had anticipated. When Dave woke up we decided to take Haylee to see Beauty and the Beast in 3D. She had seen the previews online and said something every single time so we knew we wanted to take her and Dave was off because of the holiday so it was perfect. She was so excited and did really well. We got there pretty early so she had to be very patient and wait. We ate lunch there (we went to Cinema Cafe) and Haylee also got popcorn (which she was very excited about). She didn't keep her glasses on very long, which I don't blame her, they kind of give you a headache. And she sat pretty still for the majority of the movie, up until the end when she was getting a little antsy, and we had one potty break. But over all she did great and we will definitely be going again!

Snow in IL!

One morning while we were still in IL we were surprised and woke up with snow on the ground! The girls were so happy (Kylie wanted to eat it HAHA) and of course wanted to go play in it! So the Daddy's took them out for a little while!

Trip to IL

We had a WONDERFUL trip to IL this year. I thought we were staying longer than normal but it still seemed to fly by! We stayed very busy and I truly think it was one of our best Christmas'!

On the Friday after we got to IL my wonderful family "surprised" me with a graduation party. I say it like that because a certain Nana kind of blew the surprise part but I didn't know when or where it would be so I was still partially surprised ;-) My family all came, even people from my dad's side of the family and I had a wonderful night, with all the people I love. Thank you SO much everyone!! I feel so very loved and I can't thank you all enough! Since I didn't get take pictures myself I'm not going to post a blog about it, but wanted to share my sisters post for those who were interested =) It turned out so awesome!

Here are a few (ok, a lot!) pictures of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in IL.

Yes, I'm still here!

I have been reminded how behind I am on blog posts and I'm finally going to tackle a few. I probably won't update on EVERYTHING that has happened but enjoy these few posts from the holidays =)

Haylee's Christmas program at school was the Tuesday before we left for IL. She was super cute of course, not exactly very lady like though (you will see in the pictures!). We lucked out and Kylie had her program the same day as Haylee's!
