Sunday afternoon at the Zoo!

I always love when it gets warm because we get to do so many fun things outside! Today after church I randomly decided I wanted to go to the zoo with Haylee and luckily Kimberly was down with going with us too (I think she just wanted to go so she could try out her new double stroller LOL)! The girls had a great time and Brayden slept the whole time during his first visit to the zoo!

Hair

I found this cute blog where this lady posts different hairstyles that she does with her daughters hair. I thought it'd be fun to try to do some of them. My first one didn't work out too well but it still ended up being cute.

First I thought I'd straighten Haylee's hair just to see how long it really is. And it's pretty long!

Then I tried out a hair style that I found on the blog. It didn't look anything like her little girls hair did but it was still cute (and much cuter in person). I loved her high pony! I didn't have the blog in front of me when I did it so I forgot how it was done. That lady amazes me with some of the styles she can do with her daughters hair & that she sits still for it all!

(yes I know her hair looks a mess in this pic, it's the only one I got)

Then today for church I decided to try a cute little twist half up with a bow thing. I thought it looked really cute with her curly hair but I didn't stay in very well. Haylee's hair is so thin it falls out easily and gets messed up fast.

(don't worry, she didn't wear that mini dress to church, we changed her!)

you like the makeup warpaint on her forehead?! that's what I used to distract her LOL

I'm hoping to get better at doing her hair. I'm getting very bored with just putting the bow in it to keep her bangs back and I definitely don't want to cut those beautiful curls off! I think it's a fun thing to do =)

Storytime!!

Haylee's storytime has been on Wednesday at 11:30 and I have had class during that time so I haven't been able to go this last time (I went to every one last time when she was in the 1 year old class). It really bums me out because I LOVE watching her enjoy it so much. She just loves storytime. She could possibly be one of the only kids in there that loves it so much. She sings all the songs and dances to all the dances and sits and listens as the teacher reads the book and answers questions that she asks. If you ask Haylee about storytime she gets so excited and loves to tell you about it.

Well this last Wednesday I got out of class early because all I had to do was take my final so I was able to go with her and Dave. I was so happy so see her in her new class!

Castle

Haylee got her suitcase out of her closet and was talking (a lot) on her phone.

Me: "Who are you talking to Haylee?"

H: "Daddy"... (then continued to talk to him)

Me: "Where are you going?"

H: "The castle"

Me: "Where is the castle??"

H: "In the sky!"

She makes me smile.

Later, she got into her laundry basket and asked me to push her.

H: "Mommy, push me, I want to go to the castle!"

Yes, she has makeup on her face ;-)

For TT

A little video of Haylee holding Brayden at my mom's house.

See, my house isn't the only one that is dark ;-)

Puka...

The weather today was in the low 70's and breezy... basically absolutely WONDERFUL! So of course I had to take advantage of it and Haylee and I walked to the park by our house after I got out of school. We played on the park for a little while then walked around a lot. While walking around she found a pine cone that she wanted to keep... she calls it her "puka." Yea, I know. LOL.

Oh, and for anyone who was wondering, I got a 94.6 [an A] on my HESI exam today =) Way better then I was thinking I'd do!! Woo Hoo! Thanks for all the prayers!

School

I've been trying to study for this Pharmacology HESI exam I have tomorrow. I have my Pharm book out and some notes sitting on the couch. It's really hard to study when Haylee is awake...

She's been trying to read my rather large Pharm book and I told her to put it down and go get one of her books. So she did and she started to throw her books out of the container all over the floor...

Me: "Haylee, what are you doing?"

H: "Being a bad girl"

Me: "Why are you being a bad girl?"

H: "I be a bad girl because I want to read your school work!"

After she got over not being able to read Mommy's school work she realized her baby had pooped.

H to her baby: "Ewww you stinky... stinky, stinky baby. I change your diaper."

So she did =)

Just a few cute things Haylee said that I don't want to forget...

We were in the car and I said "Hang on to your panties" and Haylee said "OK, I have my pants!"

Nana told Haylee to ask me if she could hold Brayden so she did and I said no, so she went back to Nana and said "She said no"... with a very sad voice. I love that she is honest!

I moved Haylee out of the way so I could walk past her and she said "She pushed me!"

She says all the time (about Kylie, not sure if it's always true) "She hit me!"

She says "HEEEEELLLLPPP" all the time in such a cute Southern accent.

We went to get Chinese and I let her have the fortune cookie in the car and apparently it wasn't the "cookie" she wanted so she said "I don't want a cracker, I want a cookie right NOW in my seat in the car!"

Haylee was in the backseat of the car by herself (well with only Brayden) and she said this:
H - "She hiiiiit me!"
Me - "Who hit you??"
H - "Lovie!"... "Lovie hit me again!!"

She calls me Mom a lot and Dave Dad. We try to correct her and tell her we are Mommy & Daddy, LOL, we don't want her to grow up!

And Haylee didn't say this but I just remembered something Kylie said to Haylee today that I thought was funny...
"Haylee, I don't like your attitude!"

I'll try to remember to write more down when she says them, she is so cute sometimes ;-)

1st Dentist Appointment

Tuesday was a VERY busy day in our household! First we started out the day by celebrating Valentine's day, Daddy, Mommy & Haylee all exchanged our gifts (mostly candy!) & cards then went to lunch at Kelly's Tavern. After lunch Haylee had her first dentist appointment at the same place my niece, Kylie, went to. They did really good with Kylie and my sister really liked them so I thought it would be a good place to go.

Haylee did AWESOME! I was a little worried she would not let them touch her at all or open her mouth but she did. She wanted me to sit in the chair with her but after I did she let them do anything. She picked out cherry as her flavor for tooth paste and wore the glasses they gave her to wear. They were a little big so I had to hold them on for her ;-)

big girl ready to get her teeth cleaned!
cool glasses!
say "ahhh" [and she did, every time they asked her to open her mouth =)]

she closed her mouth down on the sucker thing too, I thought she'd be scared of that...
see her holding my hand? <3
showing Daddy her pearly whites! SO proud of her!

After the hygienist cleaned her teeth the dentist came in to look at her. The main reason we took her to the dentist at such a young age was because she has these two brown & white spots on her two front top teeth. At her 2 year old well baby appt. I mentioned them to her pediatrician and she told me to take her to the dentist, so we did. Fortunately, the spots are not decay or cavities or anything (which I didn't know how it could be, she's never been put to bed with a bottle, doesn't get much candy, doesn't get sodas or juices (other then V8 Fusion Light, watered down) and brushes her teeth often). The dentist said it was caused from hypocalcification during development in utero. He said there was a small window when, for some reason, they didn't develop correctly and so when they came through the gums they looked like that. He did say that they can more easily get decay so we need to watch them closely and brush them often (which I've already been making sure we do on those spots). Her adult teeth should come through just fine, and look perfect. So that's great news! He said the rest of her teeth look great and she doesn't have a cross-bite or anything!

We were SO proud of her for doing so well. They were also surprised she did so well because she is so young. She got a goodie bag with a toothbrush (pink, she picked it out), toothpaste, floss, magnet, toothbrush cover (a red shark that she picked out), and a few other little things. She also got to pick something out of the treasure chest since she did SO good. She of course wanted one of everything in there, so it was hard explaining to her that she could only pick one thing. She ended up picking a blue and pink bouncy ball. I think she actually enjoyed the dentist and we plan on making it a regular thing!

After the dentist appointment Dave took Haylee home for a nap and I went to the hospital to watch my nephew be born!!

just wanted to say...

Happy Valentine's Day Daddy!!

Haylee loves her Daddy so much! She is so blessed to have such a wonderful Daddy, so she did a few special things for him for Valentine's Day!
(hopefully he doesn't see this just yet, we aren't "celebrating" until Tuesday!)

First, she made him a cute little card...

 LOL so excited!

what do you want? I'm busy!

then she made him a special cake...

I think she ate more M&M's then she put on the cake!

shhh... don't tell Daddy she tasted the icing

And I'll finish with a little video =)
