Just because it's a little cute...

Dave came home from his trip for work in St. Louis on Friday and I decided to let Haylee stay awake til he came in at 11:20 p.m. so she could see him. She had been missing him REALLY badly, even crying when she was getting off the phone with him. So I thought she would be so happy.

She was a little out of it and tired but sure was happy he was home!

As usual someONE was nagging reminding me to update my blog & Haylee was singing and dancing tonight so I thought it was a perfect opportunity to please that certain someone.

For a little while at least ;-)

I love how she puts her arms up in the air when she sings...
I wonder if she got that from Kerri at her concert LOL

Is it just me or do I sound like I have a lisp?? Weird! Sorry, this one is kinda long.

1st day of preschool!

It's official, my BABY is a preschooler! Boy oh boy!! As I've said before Haylee was SO excited to go to school and couldn't wait to wake up this morning and get ready to go.

We woke up really early to make sure we had plenty of time to get ready and get to school. Daddy got Haylee up and made her breakfast while I showered and got ready. Then we got Haylee dressed... she couldn't wait to put her dress on (which she has wanted to wear ALL day).

haha!

Checking herself out in the mirror =)

"Really, Mom?? Do you have to take a picture of EVERYTHING??" LOL

Beautiful girl all ready to go!!

she wanted me to take a picture of her book bag (that is way bigger than her!)

We headed out the door and took more pictures outside. Of course it had to be REALLY humid today and my lens fogged up as soon as I walked outside! I didn't realize the pictures were so foggy =(

In the car on the way!

When we got there Kimberly was already there with Kylie, taking pictures of course! Kylie and Haylee saw each other right away but I wanted to go take some pictures of Haylee against the brick wall. Kylie decided she wanted to take some pictures with Haylee too.

Best Friends Forever.
(who happen to also be cousins!)

My family <3
(Yes, I had to wear my ugly school uniform. I had to rush to school after dropping her off & take a test!)

Daddy's girl

After the million pictures outside we headed inside to her classroom! We signed her in and she ran into her class with a big smile on her face! Once again she didn't hesitate at all and made herself at home. One of her teachers had her go over to the sink and wash her hands (which is a rule they do every morning when they come in). I just stood there for a few minutes, not really knowing what to do! Haha. She didn't need me at all =( She started to color on this paper hanging on the wall and Kimberly came to the door looking for me. I guess that was my cue to leave!

Haylee's cubby with her book bag!

smiling and talking to one of her teachers

Big girl in her very first class room!

She all but pushed us out the door! We had to ask her to come over to us and kiss us good bye. We left and she didn't even look twice. When did she grow up and become so brave?? I knew she would love school and want to go so that is why we signed her up for it already. I pray she continues to have good mornings like today and learns a lot!

I skipped out of school early so I could go pick her up from class. I just had to be the first person she saw! When I got there they were walking around in a circle, dancing and singing and shaking maracas. All of which are Haylee's favorites! She was holding her teacher's hand and looked SO happy! She saw me but kept going around in the circle until the music stopped. Then I went into the room and she ran to me =) She was really happy to see me and kept saying "Mommy, Mommy!"

I had to squeeze info out of her about what they did in class. She said they played on the playground and shook the toys (maraca's I assume). She eventually said her teacher read them a book and she didn't share her crayons (despite what the video said she was going to do LOL). Over all it was a great day and she had a lot of fun and said she wants to go back on Thursday!

Little Baker

Grandpa's birthday was on Monday, the 5th so Haylee and I made a cake for him on Friday night to celebrate!

Preschool orientation

Today was Haylee's preschool orientation at 11:00 am. She was SO excited to go! We got there about 30 minutes early so we sat in the car for a little while and she kept asking to get out and go in to her school.

SN: I forgot my good camera so the pictures aren't the greatest =(

When we got out of the car we saw Kimberly & Kylie by the play ground so we went over and talked to them. Kylie's orientation was at 10:00 am. Haylee was so excited to see Kylie and ran to her saying "My Kylie, my Kylie! Here I come!"

After we talked to them we headed inside to the sanctuary to hear the director talk. Haylee ran so fast to the door saying "I'm going into my school! My school!" I think she was excited ;-)

Sitting with Daddy SO patiently!

She was a very good girl and sat in her seat the entire time. A lot of little ones (from her class mostly) were running around and I was very proud of her sitting so patiently and quietly =)

The director, Ms. Susan, talked to us for a few minutes then dismissed everyone. First she told the two's class to go to their classroom. Haylee ran out of the sanctuary and down the hall. She knew what area to go to, although the room she wanted to go into was Kylie's 3's class from last year. Guess she remembered it!

She was the first student in the room and sat right down at the table and started to color. She made herself at home!

Checking out her cubby with her name on it

Her very own cubby. The teachers said that when we arrive we will take their snacks and sippy cup out of their book bag and put them in the cubby. Then there is a hook under the cubbie for her book bag to hang on. Dave kept asking if her bookbag was going to be too big LOL. It is rather big and is going to have a LOT of empty space in it! Oops!

Her name on the front of the door.

The teachers talked to us for a few minutes, letting us know about their schedule and some other things. The kids played and checked everything out. Haylee stayed close to this table for the most part.

I'm very excited for her! She just seemed so overjoyed with going to this school. Dave and I both liked the teachers and everyone else seemed to be so kind. I still can't believe she's going to be in SCHOOL in 5 days! When do parents get used to their kids growing up?? I can't believe she's almost three either! Our life has become so much brighter ever since she came into it three years ago. We love her so much!

September's theme and Bible verse:

We know God made us different - there is nobody just like me!

"I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made." Psalm 139:14
