We decided to take a small family trip to Washington, DC before the babies came. We wanted to do one last fun thing for Haylee with just us three. Surprisingly enough, I have never been to DC to actually visit the monuments and so I wanted to go there. We drove up on Friday after my doctor's appointment and stayed at a hotel in Springfield. Friday night we just relaxed, went swimming and went to dinner with Dave's brother.
One excited girl, ready to go swimming!
Saturday morning we hopped onto the metro in Springfield and it took us to DC. Dave found a tour that was a double decker bus and it went all through DC. You could get off at any site you wanted to see or just stay on the bus and they had a tour guide telling you all about everything. It was a beautiful day and we really enjoyed it! (Here's a mixture of iPhone/Instagram pics and my camera pics)

On Sunday we got onto the metro again and went to the DC zoo. The weather wasn't as kind to us that day and it started to rain mid afternoon so we left. Mommy was pretty much done anyways HAHA.
So excited to finally see the Panda's!
Monday morning we woke up and went to breakfast at Bob Evans then headed home.
Overall we had a great time and enjoyed spending special time with our family of three!
